Daniel was the grandson of Chief Slow Eagle and came from a long line of Indian Chiefs. He was a friend of Scott Trakker.
On the day Daniel and his mother picked up Scott and T-Bob at the Trakker mansion to go fishing at Canyon Creek, Arizona, he allowed his friend to wear his Emerald Arrow-Head until the setting sun. This being a show of friendship and tribe tradition.
Unfortunately Miles Mayhem, leader of V.E.N.O.M. was after the Arrow-Head, having spent ten years in search of the other half. With young Scott wearing both the Arrow-Head around his neck and also dressed in native American clothing, V.E.N.O.M grabbed Scott instead of Daniel.
Daniel ran back to the river to warn his mother. To divert the attention of M.A.S.K., who had also arrived on the scene Mayhem fired a missile from his vehicle Switchblade. This caused a tree to burst into flame, fall over and endanger the Slow Eagle's camper van. Daniel bravely grabbed the fire extinguisher but it proved ineffective against the fire. It took the combined might of Dusty Hayes in Gator and Matt Trakker using his Spectrum mask to save them.
Daniel was very impressed by their saviors masks, then explained to the mysterious heroes that he allowed Scott to wear the arrow-head.
