The Deathstone (Episode 1) |
Doug Stone (born December 27, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a voice actor who performed several of the main characters on M.A.S.K.
Career[]
Stone worked primarily as a stage actor and also did some on-camera work in Canada. M.A.S.K. was the first voice work he auditioned for, which led to a long career in voice work for him. He also started his own voice over company which for many years dubbed the films of Jackie Chan. He ran a loopgroup that provided background chatter for various TV and film productions and was also involved in directing and script writing.
Behind the Scenes[]
Doug Stone relied on different body stances for each of his different main characters. With Hondo MacLean he pushed his chest forward to produce a deep voice. With Dusty Hayes he put on a nasal voice and would bend forward. For Bruce Sato he would barely move at all, not even his face. And for Matt Trakker he would always stand very straight and forthright.
