Maria was a supporting character who appeared in the episode The Lost Riches of Rio.
Maria lived in Rio De Janeiro with her grandmother Señora del Ramos. Her grandmother graciously conceded to exhibited her multi-million dollar art collection of Goias for charity. Matt Trakker, who was involved in the organization of the exhibit, visited Del Ramos at her home with his son Scott and their robot T-Bob for tea.
That day, a seemingly worthless painting Del Ramos has given Maria was stolen from the young girls room by V.E.N.O.M. agent Vanessa Warfield, who had first cut the alarm by using her Whip mask.
In order to investigate the theft, Matt Trakker asked Del Ramos if she had any photographs on which the painting was visible. She found one and lent it Trakker.
Maria, Scott and T-Bob visited the shop where her grandmother had bought the painting. Scott became excited and hoped to find another one like it. Maria revealed the painting was of indians and Sugerloaf Mountain and Scott decided to take the cable car up Sugerloaf.
During a skirmish between M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M., the wire holding up the cable car was damaged, leaving the two children and their robot in mortal danger. The agents of M.A.S.K. used their various masks, including Aura and Backlash, as well as the lasers from the vehicle Rhino to weld the cable wires together.
Alex Sector planned to use his mask Jackrabbit to get the kids down, but it was T-Bob who saved Scott and Maria by grabbing one in each arm and riding the surviving cable in motor scooter mode. As soon as they arrived on the other side, Matt Trakker told T-Bob to drop the boy and girl. Matt caught Scott and Alex safely caught Maria. After that the heroic T-Bob lost his balance and fell, leading to mirthful lafter from the grown men and softer laughter from the children.
Maria wondered who these strange masked men where, but Scott assured her they were friend of his without revealing his father's secret identity. Instead he took Maria home and began telling her about the time he sailed down the Amazon.
